The homeowners on this project wanted to replace their old kitchen with a large, open family living space. Part of the final design called for incorporating the footprint of a seldom used sunroom. However, to accomplish this, a large portion of the outside wall of the original house would need to be removed. To properly support the upper levels of the home, a huge 30 ft. steel beam was carefully placed and presto! - all the space you could possibly want.
