A dynamic family of four with a contemporary bent needed a kitchen that fit their active lifestyle. Elegant cherry cabinetry in a Teaberry finish sets the stage; a dramatic backsplash of stone strips continues the theme as do the large island and granite countertops. New bamboo flooring ties the kitchen and family room together. Although the refrigerator hides behind matching cherry panels, the remaining appliances and cabinet hardware are gleaming stainless steel. The glass door cabinets even have a soft-close feature that allows them to close gently without that ‘rattling glass’ sound. (More of this project may be seen under ‘Additions’ and ‘Baths’.)
