Design Assistant Summer Intern

This paid internship is a great opportunity for a college student who wants hands-on experience in the design and construction industry. The Design Assistant Summer Intern will gain exposure to the tools, terminology, and day-to-day workflow involved in creating successful, high-quality projects. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, highly organized, and excited to support both client-facing and internal design tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

Learn and use construction management software for accurate and consistent data entry related to client selections and materials
Participate in biweekly sales meetings
Assist the Sales Manager with a variety of daily tasks, including both client-facing and internal support
Support Design Consultants with material sourcing, presentations, and client follow-up
Help the team schedule appointments and stay organized

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience or exposure to the interior design, architecture, or construction industry, including university coursework or a related academic program
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors both in person and over the phone
Able to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Must have reliable transportation, as frequent pickup and delivery of client samples is a routine part of this position.
