Construction Manager
Lane Homes & Remodeling is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Construction Manager to oversee residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards. The Construction Manager will support and guide the production team, maintain strong communication between departments, oversee field operations, and promote safety and professional growth. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, values craftsmanship, and is committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Communication
- Communicate regularly with the PC regarding project schedules, estimates, and overall production status.
- Conduct regular quality control reviews of projects under construction.
- Act as a problem solver to assist PMs in resolving construction or client concerns.
- Manage progress billing (confirm PMs are notifying accounting when billing milestones are reached).
- Participate in monthly production meetings and quarterly staff meetings.
- Lead Construction Production Coordination (CPC) meetings using the checklist; field client questions and concerns.
- Attend and provide feedback at IPC meetings.
Staffing & Training
- Collaborate with the PC on staffing needs, hiring decisions, and interviews. (PC has primary responsibility; the CM supports.)
- Assist in training new production staff (PC develops the plan and CM participates in execution).
- Conduct annual performance reviews with production staff.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the PC on production progress, staffing needs, and resource requirements (e.g., additional subcontractors or suppliers).
- Recommend incentive and compensation adjustments for field staff.
Warranty & Client Relations
- Communicate with the PC regarding warranty items.
- Coordinate resolution of warranty requests, either personally or with the assigned PM.
- Ensure all warranty items received by the CM or PM are communicated to the PC with resolution details.
- Conduct pre-completion walkthroughs with PMs for quality control and punch list management.
- Conduct final walkthroughs with clients to ensure satisfaction.
Field Operations & Safety
- Ensure job site safety standards are followed.
- Oversee truck maintenance (keep vehicles properly maintained; make recommendations for fleet changes).
- Oversee tool maintenance (ensure tools are properly maintained; recommend improvements or replacements).
- Approve production personnel timesheets, overtime, and vacation requests.
- Review, approve, and code subcontractor and vendor invoices; provide ongoing training to PMs.
Change Orders & Documentation
- Train PMs on creating COs in BT.
- Review COs to determine if involvement from DC or Drafting is required.
- Ensure that basic changes are handled by the PC or PM.
- Maintain proficiency with BT for all project and CO management.
- Provide feedback on the PO system and request site visits from DC or PC as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential construction management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of remodeling processes, building codes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency with construction management software (Buildertrend preferred)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, train, and support a team of project managers and field staff
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Valid driver’s license (fleet management responsibilities)

This person will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and serves as the representative for dealing with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, plan and manage schedules for all projects assigned
- Manage field crew and subcontractors’ schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
- Ensure all subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work and negotiate as necessary
- Maintain and update the construction schedules for assigned projects in BuilderTrend on a weekly basis
- Attend all pre-construction meetings for assigned projects
- Manage all aspects of the construction process
- Request labor support when needed and supervise their work
- Schedule all subcontractors
- Complete material takeoffs
- Manage projects to bring them in or under budget and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards to ensure client satisfaction
Qualifications
